Professor Mike Lee is the Assistant Dean of Professional Programmes, the Director of the International Centre of Anti-Consumption Research (ICAR), and of course, the Programme Director of the MBA.
He has taught marketing strategy, marketing research, consumer behaviour, advertising and promotions, and advanced marketing theory to more than 5000 students. He is a vital part of the team that brought the MBA online, and continues to be an advocate for making the programme accessible.
His area of research includes brand avoidance, consumer resistance, activism, and anti-consumption where he actively supervises PhD students in the area of religiously motivated boycotting, product crisis trust recovery, family consumption conflict resolution, and anti-consumption in emerging economies. He started ICAR in 2005 as a strategic response to the growing desire from international academics to collaborate on anti-consumption related research.
